Tony is an experienced intellectual property counselor. He helps clients manage and monetize their IP assets, as well as enforce and defend their valuable patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret rights across a wide range of industries. Tony counsels start-up, early, and growth-stage businesses on trademark selection and registration, patenting strategies, content management, trade secret issues, and licensing and other agreements. He often collaborates with clients and colleagues to understand and anticipate how new technologies may affect businesses, using this insight to develop proactive legal strategies. When litigation is necessary to protect his clients’ IP rights, Tony effectively represents them in state and federal courts throughout the country and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Tony has successfully represented many small and start-up companies in intellectual property disputes against established companies seeking to preempt new competition.
