Samuel focuses on assisting companies in the blockchain, web3, startup, and new venture capital sectors. He has considerable knowledge in blockchain innovation, business organization, and startup planning, including DAO governance and tokenomics.
Samuel is an entrepreneur and co-founder of his own political action committee. He understands the challenges that entrepreneurs face, and helps them navigate these issues, particularly early-stage financing and novel governance structures for Web3 native companies. He has a deep understanding of both the technology and communities that together drive innovation in the Web3 sector and leverages his industry insight to help his clients navigate legal challenges and achieve their business goals.
Before joining Michael Best, Samuel was at a business and real estate law firm. He gained valuable experience assisting with the firm’s web3.0 practice group and serves on the advisory board for the Utah Blockchain Coalition as a subject matter expert on blockchain policy and web3 initiatives. Samuel also worked as a New Venture Development Associate with the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, and as a Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) Compliance Analyst with Varo Bank.
